You're going to love the smell of fresh break baking and the calming practice of "raising" your own piece of Hawai'i via our Sourdough Starter.
At over 250 years old, this starter is from my great-great grandmother's kitchen who perfected it's taste in her Na'alehu kitchen on the island of Hawai'i. Oddly enough, her home is now the home of the Punalu'u Bakery in Na'alehu, Hawai'i, the southern most bakery in the United States. If you're ever on the Big Island I'd urge you to visit and indulge in their amazing goodies.
This starter has no relation to Punalu'u Bakery other than they share a home and therefor a rich history of Hawai'i, baking, ohana and love for family.
